The White House
Visually tour a unique 60’X20’ detailed re-creation of the White
House and its contents, previously exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution
and presidential libraries.
Air Force One
Tour a full-scale replica of an Air Force One fuselage and receive
a keepsake photo.
Forgotten Founders—Historic Documents & Coins of Freedom
Learn the stories of the four Presidents of the Continental Congress
and ten presidents of the United States in Congress Assembled before George
Washington's Inauguration, told through historical documents and artifacts,
and accompanied by oil paintings of our pre-1789 Presidents. Previously exhibited
at the Smithsonian’s “The American Presidency A Glorious Burden”.
Oval Office
Experience the White House Oval Office and sit behind the president’s
desk, sign a bill into law and have a souvenir photo.
Minnesota!
Gather facts about Minnesota history such as: MN 150 - the Sesquicentennial
celebration; Minnesota Quilts – the state’s history in quilts;
Minnesota’s American Indian Culture; Votes for Women – Minnesota’s
role in the suffrage movement; and the Minnesota State Fair 1854 – 2008.
Freedom Rising
Take in a unique multi-media presentation developed by the National
Constitution Center in Philadelphia and learn the story of the Constitution
of the United States and its impact from 1787 through today.
Founders Documents 1774-1790
See the Articles of Confederation draft, a Stone proof printing of
the Declaration of Independence, the 1784 Treaty of Paris signed by President
Thomas Mifflin, and a Rhode Island 1787 front page printing of the U.S. Constitution.
Innovation Minnesota
Celebrate Minnesota business, technology and invention: Betty Crocker,
the Pillsbury Dough Boy, Scotch tape, Wheaties, Rollerblades, water skis,
Dairy Queen, the pacemaker, Spam, sandpaper, open-heart surgery, Post-It notes,
the Jolly Green Giant and the Bundt pan.

Featuring a week-long schedule of special programs, including
live performances showcasing Minnesota talent.
CivicFest Credentials
Commemorative 2008 MSP CivicFest credential and lanyard distributed
to each visitor.
The Great Mississippi
Discover and learn more about the Mississippi River through a presentation
highlighting its importance.
Convention Floor
Tour the re-created convention floor with bunting, state stanchions
and balloons, featuring author book readings, free ‘road show’ appraisals
of political memorabilia, and exhibit-related speakers.
Explore Minnesota’s Great Outdoors
Enjoy a multimedia exhibit showcasing Minnesota’s diverse topographies
and vast range of recreational opportunities, created in conjunction with
the state’s Explore Minnesota tourism agency and MN DNR .
Minnesota Sports History
Travel through a timeline highlighting the amateurs, professionals, inventors
and innovations that have played an important role in the state's
sports history.
Three Centuries of Political Memorabilia
Browse
rare and authentic posters, buttons and other political memorabilia from the
18th to the 21st centuries.
A Salute to Minnesota’s Greatest Generation
View videos that explore the lives and legacies of Minnesotans who grew up
amid the Great Depression, came of age during WWII and participated in the
postwar boom preview the Minnesota History Center’s forthcoming May
2009 exhibit.
First Ladies’ Gowns
Witness
an extensive display of formal gowns worn by the first ladies of many administrations.
Presidential Health Exhibit
An examination of the health and medical treatment of U.S. Presidents
and the role of the White House physician.
Walleye School of Fish
Study
a display of 4’ wooden walleyes created by young artists celebrating
the iconic artistic, recreational, and cultural aspects of Minnesota life
and history.
Decision 2008
Use
historic and modern voting machines to vote on the name of a new eagle from
the National Eagle Center.
Hail to the Chief!
Act as an incoming president and take the Oath of Office.
Presidential Timeline
Explore the twelve 20th-century Presidents through photographs, audio recordings
and video on interactive kiosks.
Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial
Commemorate
the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential
Library and Museum.
Strike Up the Bandwagon
Marching bands play patriotic music aboard the circa 1900 U.S.
Bandwagon, one of the finest examples of folk art in America.
The Eagle, National Emblem of the United States
Live eagles and the Great Eagle Shield from the 1876 Centennial
Exposition are included in an exhibit celebrating the history and conservation
of America’s national emblem, produced in collaboration with the National
Eagle Center and UMN Raptor Center.
White House Pets and Animals
A multimedia exhibit chronicling White House pets and animals
from Martha Washington’s parrot to present day, with a focus on the
public interest in and diplomatic roles of these minor celebrities and goodwill
Ambassadors.
American Artwork: The Flag of the United States of America
Three centuries of authentic historic flags.
Presidential Limousines
Observe
two authentic Presidential limousines with important historical documentation.
White House Rose Garden
A 60’ White House façade and Rose Garden serves as entry to
the CivicFest White House land area.
Presidents’ Walk
Artifacts from each of the 43 U.S. Presidents are displayed in
glass tabletop museum cases.
Oval Office Dioramas
Models of the Oval Office as decorated by several modern resident
Presidents.
First Family Letters
A collection of photos and First Family letters praising the
Model White House .
Presidential Entertaining
A formal display of White House china table settings from eight
different administrations
C-SPAN Campaign 2008
The 45-foot C-SPAN Bus is equipped with mobile multi-media demonstration
centers and TV production unit used for live programs such as C-SPAN’s
Washington Journal.
From Haven to Home
A timeline of 350 years of Jewish experience in America from the
2004-2006 Library of Congress exhibition.
Medals of Honor
A display of the nation’s highest military honor features medals
from each branch of the armed services.
